Stop Romancing Corruption, Buhari Vanguard Tells Jonathan

Supporters of former Military Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari in Ondo State yesterday urged President Goodluck Jonathan to stop encouraging corruption in the country.

 The Buhari supporters under the umbrella body of “Buhari Vanguard” said “President Jonathan must stop romancing corruption or else Nigerians will tag him the first enemy of the Nigerian Project.”

 The Coordinator of Buhari Vanguard, Ondo State Chapter, Comrade Kayode Fakuyi in a statement said, “the Constitution has taken care of the Stella Oduah’s issue and there was no need for the President to continue keeping her in office.”

 “She violated provisions of the Public Procurement Act. The opinion or advice of the Alhaji Isa Bello led presidential panel is immaterial. The President should stop romancing corruption which is the bane of our development or else Nigerians will hold him as the first enemy of the Nigerian Project,” he said.

 He accused the Federal government of neglecting the people of Ondo State.

 “In 2011, people were mobilised by State government machineries to support transformation agenda. Indeed, the country has been transformed to increased poverty, unemployment and insecurity.

 “What Ondo State people and Nigerians desire is not a deformation agenda but a change that will herald sustainable peace and development in all sectors. He continued.

“There is no presence of Federal government in the state. The Airport that was built in the 1980’s is now dormant. Sure - P is now called Sure - Poverty,” the statement read.

 According to the group, the continued idleness “of our potential wealth in Agbabu and the atlantic coastline of the State is Condemnable. We have a solution to Nigeria’s woe and we are ready to engage all Nigerians on this intervention. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari is an example of what a public office holder should be in Nigeria”.

The Buhari Vanguard is an ideological group in Nigeria with stronghold in the south east region that seek to preach and immortalise the virtues of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s Incorruptible, Patriotism, Pro - Welfarism, Accountability, discipline and Integrity in Nigeria.
