In last year’s king’s speech, King Charles announced a government bill aimed at revolutionising the licensing system for London’s three-wheeled rickshaw-style carriages. Describing them as a ‘scourge’ on the capital, the government seeks to address the longstanding issue of unregulated pedicabs operating under outdated laws dating back to 1869.
