Falae, Akinrinade Head Yoruba Committee On National Dialogue

A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olu Falae has been selected by leaders the Yoruba ethnic nationality to head the harmonisation committee of the group to the proposed national dialogue.

Falae is to be assisted by a former Chief of Defence Staff, Lt.-General Alani Ipoola Akinrinade who is to serve as his vice, while Dr. Kunle Olajide is to serve as the secretary of the panel.

This forms one of the decisions reached on Wednesday in Ile-Ife by prominent Yoruba leaders who gathered at the palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Sijuade Okunade, Olubuse II.

According to a statement issued at the end of the meeting which was presided over by Oba Okunade, the committee was set up with the responsibility of harmonising the various positions of the various tendencies within the race.
