Gang Stabs Another Gang Leader To Death In Lagos

A gang has stabbed alleged leader of another gang to death in Lagos yesterday during a crisis.

The deceased, Segun Ogbere, 36, was killed at Adeshina Street, Akoka area of the metropolis, yesterday.

LEADERSHIP gathered that Ogbere, popularly known as Shaggy, was stabbed you death by members of a gang identified as Downtown Boys at about 3pm on Tuesday.

The victim was in a tipper when he was forcefully pulled down from the vehicle by four alleged gang members of Gowntown led by a man called Ibrahim Balogun aka Small Jaypron.

A man, Jimoh, who claimed to be eyewitness said the gang stabbed the deceased to death in cold blood. Jimoh said his killers left the knives used in committing the dastardly act at the scene before escaping from the scene.

Confirming the story to LEADERSHIP, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ngozi Braide, said the police are investigating the matter at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) , Yaba. Braide said the situation is under control, assuring Lagosians to go about their normal businesses because police are everywhere to protect them.
