How I waited 10 years to become a father- actor Adeniyi Johnson

 Adeniyi Johnson, the Nollywood actor, has revealed that he
waited 10 years before welcoming a set of twins with his wife Edun Oluwaseyi.

 

In a recent interview with his colleague Kunle Afod, the
46-year-old actor disclosed that he waited three years for a child in his
previous marriage.

 

He said after the marriage ended, he began dating Edun in
2016, and they married in 2018.

 

Johnson said he spent 10 years praying and engaging in
religious activities, with seven of those years with his current wife.

 

Johnson said his patience and faith were finally rewarded
when he and his wife welcomed a set of twins in February 2023.

 

“The vigil was much. But we thank God that what one has been
crying over God turned it into joy. It is a cry of 10 years. I waited for 10
years. Myself and the mother of the twins have been seeking God’s face for a
child for seven years. And when it came, God said he wanted to gift me with
twins. What do I do?” he said.

 

”Whenever I am at home, and I see them climbing on top of
me, I am always very happy. I would say thank you, God. Other people buy
diapers for one child for us we buy two. We bless God for provision. They also
eat well.

 

“We did not allow age to tell on us. And we thank God we do
not look like what we have passed through.”
