Husband who took off upon the birth of triplet by wife opens up.

 Jimoh Kabiru, 32, who
has abandoned his wife and their newborn
triplets, gives his reasons for doing so. Yesterday, Mrs. Tope Kabiru gave birth to three
babies at the Lantoro Catholic Hospital in Abeokuta.
The newborns are still being kept at the incubators. Upon learning the news, Mr. Kabiru, an auto
mechanic in Kuto area, fled, abandoning his wife
and triplets at the hospital. Speaking from his hideout, Mr. Kabiru said he
makes about N1000 daily. He explained he ran away
because he does not have the money required to
cover the hospital bills and buy basic things for the
babies. "I ran away on being told my wife delivered three
babies through operation. I have no money in hand
for the expense. I had already N50,000 my friends
rallied to gather for me, and there is no other way to
get money. I will be requiring about N250,000 to
settle the hospital bill and do other things."
