UNIZIK student jumps to death from 3-storey building after consuming hard drug

 A student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, whose name has
yet to be ascertained, has jumped to his death from a three-storey building ,
after allegedly consuming hard drug.

 

The tragic incident occurred around 8:00 pm on Thursday at a
lodge near Royal Kitchen junction, close to the school gate in Awka, Anambra
State.

 

According to sources, the student had jumped from a
three-storey building and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was
confirmed dead.

 

According to residents, the student had consumed hard drugs
(MKPURUMMIRI) before the incident.

 

Neighbors reported hearing a loud sound and later found the
victim’s body lying in a pool of his own blood.

 

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the
student’s roommate was also under the influence of the same substance, as he
was found in an incoherent state in their room.

 

The roommate is currently in police custody and will be
questioned once he stabilizes.

 

The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed, pending
notification of his family.

 

Authorities are working to reach the family while
investigations into the incident continue.

 

As of the time of filing this report, police or school
authorities have yet to confirm the incident.
