Suspected Kidnappers involved in Accident After Collecting Ransom in Nasarawa

On Monday morning, August 18, 2025, suspected kidnappers were involved in a motor accident in the Angwan Mayo community, Kokona Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, shortly after collecting ransom.According to reports, the suspects were attempting to flee the area when their Peugeot 406 crashed. Professor Akyala Ishaku, an academic and research scientist, witnessed the incident while heading to work and shared details in a Facebook post. He noted that the kidnappers fled the scene, abandoning the ransom money and guns in their vehicle.“Thanks to Nigeria Army and Nigeria Police for prompt response,” Prof. Ishaku wrote, commending the swift intervention of security forces.
