‘Stop escalating our issues… it’s putting Natasha at risk’ — 2baba begs NigeriansInnocent Idibia, the Nigerian singer popularly known as
2Baba, has addressed the ongoing marital crisis with his wife Natasha Osawaru.
A plea with the stark message “help me” was initially shared
on the music icon’s Instagram Story on Wednesday. The plea was however followed by a video wherein the
50-year-old singer called for calm.
He appealed to his followers and the public not to escalate
the marital issues because it “is putting Natasha at risk”.
2Baba assured that he and Natasha will resolve their issues
while arguing that he didn’t make the post calling for help.
“This is getting out of hands and it is a dangerous
situation right now,” he said.
“I know what fans can do, I know what people can do, I am
perfectly okay. This is putting Natasha at risk, it is not fair on anybody.
“Please I need everybody to calm down, ceasefire. We are
going to resolve all these issues. People dey get issue for house no be today
but this is getting out of hands.
“Friends, family, everybody, please ceasefire. I beg you. I
am perfectly fine. I did not make that post. Please I am okay.”

by media personality Daddy Freeze. The session turned chaotic after the singer
and the Edo lawmaker engaged in a heated argument in the background.
The clash followed allegations made against Natasha by the
singer’s former management team.
2Baba’s former managers Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, who
appeared on Freeze’s live broadcast, accused Natasha of seeking “full control”
over the singer’s life and career.
In their claims, they described her as prone to “fits of
rage” and confirmed that a previously denied arrest incident involving the
couple in the United Kingdom did occur.
The managers alleged that Natasha controls 2Baba’s finances
and public engagements, insisting the artiste needed to be “saved” from her
influence.
The situation escalated when 2Baba suddenly joined the live
session. He forcefully told the former managers to “shut the f**k up” and stop
discussing his private affairs.
However, shortly after his intervention, loud arguing
between him and Natasha became audible off-camera.
Their voices grew increasingly heated before the live
broadcast was abruptly ended.
The Edo house of assembly recently asked Osawaru, member
representing Egor constituency, to appear before its ethics and privileges
committee over her recent viral conduct.
The couple’s relationship became public shortly after 2Baba
announced his split from his estranged wife Annie Macaulay Idibia in January.
At the time, he clarified that his romance with the Edo
lawmaker was unrelated to the breakup.
The singer proposed to Osawaru in February.
The relationship gained family approval in April when
Natasha visited Rose, 2Baba’s mother, who had previously spoken against the
union. The lovebirds tied the knot in July.
