They conveyed their decisions in separate letters dated July 27, 2026 (noted as 2027 in some references, likely a typographical error), addressed to the ward secretary. In his resignation letter, Ngalda announced his immediate withdrawal from the APC after wide consultations with his family. He thanked the party’s leadership at the ward, local government, state, and national levels, as well as the Gombe State Government, for their support during his tenure. He expressed continued goodwill towards the APC while urging the party to respect his decision. Similarly, Gololo resigned as Legal Adviser and from APC membership, citing consultations with his family. He also appreciated the party and state government for the opportunity to serve. Neither letter provided specific reasons for their defection.
