Catholic Church BH Scores: 523 Xtains killed, 54 churches burnt, 90000 displaced

The Maiduguri Diocese of the Catholic Church has said that a total of 523 christians were killed by the insurgents, while 54 Churches were burnt and 90,000 people displaced following Boko Haram attacks in the three states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa from 2009 first insurgents’ uprising till now.

Diocese at a press briefing in Maiduguri yesterday said the analysis covers between 2009 and March, 2014. Diocesan Secretary, Rev. John Bakeni Bogna and Project Manager, Rev. Bature Fidelis Joseph while speaking to news men at the St Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral described the Boko Haram attacks as evil, calling on people to be united in the campaigns to end insurgency in the country.
