Carpenter Commits Suicide After Being Duped By Girl-Friend in Abeokuta

A carpenter, Samsideen Akinwunmi, has taken his own life in Abeokuta after being duped by his concubine.

Akinwunmi, was said to have been found dead after allegedly hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his room located at Aboaba Street, Itori-Odo, Abeokuta.

The incident happened on Saturday. The source added that he saw Akinwunmi at about 2:45 pm on Saturday when he sent all his children on errand before killing himself.

The deceased left a suicide note which explained why he killed himself. “He indicated that his estranged lover had duped him of millions of Naira and that he had to kill himself.

Alapinni of Egbaland and a Commmunity leader, Chief Omolaso Ojedele, reacting to the incident said it was a tragedy.
