Enugu swears in new deputy governor

THE Enugu State Governor has sworn in Rev. Ralphael Ifeanyichukwu Nwoye as the deputy governor to replace the impeached deputy governor. Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi.

  At the swearing in ceremony Monday conducted by the Chief Judge of Enugu State Justice Innocent Umezurike at the State Executive Chambers of the Government House, the state governor Sullican Chime said: "Government draws the analogy from a broken down vehicle that requires a plug to be changed. We have just serviced the engine  and we now expect the vehicle to move better and more freely.

 "Nwoye is not a new person to me. We were together during the previous administration as commissioners. I know what he can bring to this government. He will soon avail the government opportunity to savour what this is about."

 Urging the new deputy governor to bring into government his wealth of experience operating at this level of administration, Chime said, "I congratulate you on your assumption of duty; you are welcome aboard. I pray that we will have your full cooperation as a member of the big People's Democratic Party (PDP) familiy,"
