President Goodluck Jonathan said yesterday that with his governments holistic approach to tackling the issue of poor electricity supply, subsequent administrations would not face any power challenges.
He also assured that federal government was working to restore Nigerian universities to their glory days and to ensure that they are rated among the top 500 universities in the world.
Speaking when he received a delegation of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), led by senior special assistant on Youth Affairs, Jude Imagwe and NANS president, Yinka Gbadebo, Jonathan noted that tertiary institutions should not just be big in population, but in quality as well.

The president, who was also decorated as the Grand Commander of Nigerian Students (GCNS) reiterated his commitment to free, fair and credible elections, adding that Nigeria will no longer become a laughing stock, as far as credible elections are concerned.
He said, We must build Nigeria for the future of our children. We must build a Nigeria where, by the time one of you will be on this seat in the future, you should not be thinking of power supply. Nigeria is a leading country in Africa and we must show that leadership in every of our institutions.
We want to return our universities to the winning ways. Our universities must be strengthened; our universities must have to be returned to the top. Our universities must not just be big in population, but top in quality. We want our universities to be among the top rated in the world.
