Today Monday, September 29, 2014, veteran Nollywood actress and wife of Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva is one of the few Nigerians being conferred with national honours by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Today also marks her birthday as she clocks 53 years today. Joke Silva is being honoured with the MFR award alongside popular Nollywood actress Omotola Jolade Ekehinde for their contributions in the film industry as a whole.

Over the years, Joke Silva has won several awards in her career, and she’s currently the principal of the music house in the MTN Project Fame West Africa....
