Adamawa State Police Command have disclosed that thay are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Sani Ribadu, younger brother to former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, regains freedom.

The disclosure was made by the spokesperson of the command, DSP Abubakar Othman, who urged the general public to assist the force with relevant information that will lead to the arrest of the criminals.

While narrating how the incident happened, Othman said it was carried out by three gunmen around 6:30pm of Sunday.

He said the three gunmen accosted the former chairman to his farm along Yola – Fufore road and asked him, alongside 12 of his workers, to lie down but four out of the workers managed to flee the scene, leaving Ribadu and eight workers,” he said.

Othman added that the gunmen had initially bundled Ribadu into his Toyota Thundra car but it suddenly stopped and the gunmen used a white starlet car to take him out of the town through the route leading to Mayo Belwa local government.

The police spokesman said they have intensified surveillance around the area where the crime took place even though they were yet to make any arrest urging the general public to give the police adequate information that will lead to the arrest of the criminals.
