After Mohammadu Buhari emerged the All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate for Nigeria’s presidential election in 2015, the next move is to choose a running mate. Series of meetings are currently being held by APC party leaders to come up with the best running mate for him.

Here is a list of possible front-runners being speculated:

Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, former Attorney-General of Lagos State
Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, the Rivers State governor
Mr. Babatunde Fashola, the Lagos State governor
Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, the Edo State governor
Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the immediate past Ekiti State governor
Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, former Lagos East Senator
Senator (Prof.) Ajayi Boroffice, serving Ondo State Senator
Mr. Wale Edun, former Lagos State Commissioner
Mr. Supo Sashore, former Attorney-General of Lagos State
Mrs Sharon Ikeazor, National Women Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC)

I'm wondering, where are the women, Taught APC would chnage with the First Woman Vice President

Has APC Chosen Rotimi Amaechi as Buhari's Vice President?

A source said that former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu, who is leading the charge from the South West, had insisted that without a Southwest candidate on the ballot as vice president, the people of the zone might not vote for the party.

It was, however, gathered that Amaechi has emerged the leading candidate so far with the support of Buhari apparently because of his huge financial commitment to the Buhari project.

It was, however, gathered that the elders will converge on Abuja on Monday to take a final decision on the matter.

The party has up till December 18 to submit its list of candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Rumour was rife on Friday night that Amaechi had been picked as running-mate to Buhari.
