How do you deal with Overweight ?

Are you noticing the extra weight, extra tiredness or the increase when you are on the scale and then you feel fat? Well take a guide first, whats your Body Mass Index (BMI)? Use a Calculator here to http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/interactive/interactivetests/bmi.php to get your BMI and see if which weight category you fall into.

Okay, Now you know you have the extra weight, do you just hit the gym and starve yourself....heheh, I doubt that will work outrightly. The healthiest way to lose weight is neither crash diets and fad diets nor sudden bursts of exercise. The body likes slow changes in terms of food and exercise. For example, someone who has not exercised for years should not rush into running three miles every day. Exercise needs to be increased slowly.

People who eat a lot will experience problems if they suddenly start starving themselves. Introduce changes gradually. Even relatively light exercise such as a short walk may be beneficial if done frequently. The calories you eat minus what you use in exercise and maintaining your body will be stored as fat.

  • Yes, Do exercise...you can start with walking more, then jogging, running and gym activities - Just exercise more
  • Reduce your calories, eat small foods that heavy meals, eat more fruits
  • Write down your weight every week, monitor your progress
  • Be patient and persevere
  • Do medical checkups if you don't see any changes for a long time just in case
