The FCT Minister, Sen. Bala Mohammed, while defending this move by the government had said: “We must not allow the FCT to degenerate into something else. We must protect the sanity of the city.”

Very beautiful idea! But at what cost? And who pays? The masses? The government? And, more importantly, someone will be asking right now: How many houses have been built in the FCT – dare we ask even throughout the country – by the government within the same time?

The FCT Minister had on Monday said that more than 124,000 houses had been demolished in Abuja since he assumed office in 2010. He disclosed this at the Town Hall Meeting to round-off the three days Good Governance Projects Tour of Abuja. According to him, the administrations before him had demolished 30,000 houses.

B4: 30,000 ...YOU: 124,000....Oga oo, where people go live?
