Shortly afer the $100,000 ransom was placed on his head .... Nakoula, who used the moniker Sam Bacile in the anti-Islam film’s production notes, appeared before a Los Angeles federal court on Thursday. Judge Segal, remarked that he posed “danger to the community” and had a “lengthy pattern of deception” which included lying to parole officers.

The judge in Los Angeles, California, said Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was a flight risk.Nakoula has been under investigation for violating probation terms after he was released from prison in 2011 for bank fraud.

Under the terms of his probation, Nakoula was banned from accessing the Internet or using an alias without an officer's permission. Nakoula, a Christian original from Egypt, had been in hiding after he was identified as the man behind the movie trailer for the U.S.-made film "Innocence of Muslims."

The clip was dubbed into Arabic and posted on YouTube, provoking widespread anger for its disrespectful portrayal of the Prophet Muhammad
