THE Federal Government failed to allocate capital votes to the Federal Road Maintenance Agency,FERMA, in this year's budget, creating fears that the state of federal roads otherwise, known as Trunk A roads could be bad in the year.

This was disclosed yesterday, by the Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen, when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Works, to defend his ministry's 2015 budget proposal.

He said: "Aside the ministry's capital budget proposal slashed from the projected N100billion to just N11billion by the Ministry of Finance in view of economic realities on ground , zero allocations were made for capital projects of FERMA and office of Surveyor -General of the Federation,OSGF."
