Can’t there be Good News in this Country Nigeria?

There is evil in the land! And there is the social media. A lot of people have talked about the evil in the emergence of the social media. Some say that users of the social media use it to perpetrate evil while others say they use it to spread only negative news. But what is really the problem here?

The issue about perpetrating evil cannot be denied. But, if the user of the social media is enlightened on how to use it without exposing themselves to danger, has the issue of perpetrating evil through the social media not been solved? However, when placed side by side with the use of social media to spread negative news, we will see that the evil done on the social media is nothing compared to the evil done off the social media, but which the social media helps broadcast. To face the fact, when positive things happen the social media is used to broadcast that too.

But in Nigeria, positive news is a scarce commodity; Nigerians are perpetrating evil acts in alarming rates. The social media has helped us to know that. Unfortunately, the social media cannot help us to know if the evil is more now than before the advent of the social media. Evil, now, is not only when there is a massacre somewhere, or some people were given jungle justice, or when natural disasters render hundreds of thousands homeless due to neglect on the part of responsible government authorities. No.

There is evil when a few people, operating individually or in groups, siphon money that belongs to the public and convert it to personal use; yes, there is evil when government authorities and even individuals choose to hoard information which could be beneficial or be of importance to the public. But the social media helps us see all these…

Do good Nigerians and let us see if the social media will not be used to sing your praises to the ends of the world!

Good in Nigeria is a luxury cos all man for  himself na im plenty pass for every corner. The few are out there doing good buh when the baddest bad hits the airwaves,  e get power resonance.

lol, you have a point there. there is corruption in the system. so it is almost better to try to feed your family first by any means necessary. our leaders dont give a sh*t about us.

but at the same time, some people are still out there fighting for our Country, they are making a stand, they are making an impact.
