Tension in Jos Plateau as GunMen attack Barkin LGA on Friday

THERE was tension in Plateau State following a Friday night attack by unknown gunmen on two villages in Barkin Ladi local government council.

Villagers have, however, pointed accusing finger at Fulani herdsmen over the incident, which left three persons dead.

The attackers arrived Rankum village in Barkin Ladi, at about 8.15pm on Friday and began to shoot sporadically at villagers. Two persons were killed, while others who sustained injuries were rushed to Barkin Ladi hospital for treatment.

At about 10pm, same day, unknown gunmen launched another attack at Burdinga village of Gashish District of Barkin Ladi.

Again, the villagers put blame for the incident on Fulani herdsmen.

Bulus Mashigil and Silas were killed in this attack. An injured person reportedly died later. - Guardian
