IGP says over 36,000 Policemen will be Promoted in 2 months

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has said about 40,000 policemen between the ranks of constable and inspector would be promoted in the next two months.

He said that these officers were the officers doing major jobs, including arrests, investigations and other special duties for the Nigeria Society.

Backlog of 40,000 - Thats a lot, what have they been doing all these years?
