FORMER governor of Osun State and secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and 3,896 others were, on Tuesday, called to the Nigerian Bar having passed the 2012 Bar final examination.

A total of 5,449 students sat for the August final examination out of which nine passed with first class, 195 had second class upper, 900 had second class lower and 2,783 had pass.

A total of 1,552 failed the examination and would have to resit.

Speaking at the call to bar ceremony at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, the Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Dr Tahir Mamman, called on the new lawyers to be job creators and not seekers, adding that the knowledge which the Law School had impacted in them was enough to make them fulfilled lawyers.

He further stated that some lawyers, who were caught impersonating during the examination,  were presently facing criminal trial.

In his speech, the chairman on the occasion, Chief Idowu Sofola, urged the lawyers to be prompt in their attendance in court and should handle any case assigned to them with  diligence,caution and confidentiality. Tribune
