Kogi: Herbalist Kills Four-month Son for Rituals

It was a tale of horror early in the New Year as a 46-year-old herbalist allegedly killed his son, a four-month-old baby, for ritual purposes on the eve of the New Year.

The Kogi State Police Commissioner,
Alhaji Mohammed Musa Katsina, who paraded the suspect, one Hosea Folorunso, in Lokoja, disclosed that on December 31, 2012, when Nigerians were awaiting the New Year, the herbalist, at Egbe in Yagba West Local Government Area of the state, was busy perfecting plans to kill his son for alleged rituals.

According to the Commissioner, on that faithful day around the hours of 11:55 p.m, the suspect quietly took his
baby son, named Sunday, who was deep in sleep at that time, and murdered him in gruesome circumstances .
