Kim Kardashian pleads with a judge to end her marriage to Kris Humphries before her baby’s birth

Her marriage only technically lasted to Kris Humphries a matter of weeks, yet over a year on and the reality star is still wedded legally to him.

She’s now with another man, Kanye West, and is pregnant with his child therefore she’d doing everything in her power to convince a judge to dissolve the union.

This includes arguing that her continued marriage to the basketballer could affect the health of her child.

"I firmly believe that an immediate dissolution of our marriage will help create a new, full life for me” she said in court papers.

"One chapter will be officially over, and a new one can begin. The same should hold true for [Kris].”

“I do not want to be married to [Kris] when I have my baby," she adds.

"I am requesting the status of my marriage be determined for now for not only my health and welfare but also for the health and well-being of my unborn child."

"I should not be constrained in my financial and social endeavors by the fact that [Kris] and I have a marriage which now exists in name only.

"I do not want the status of my marriage to affect any investment I wish to make, such as the purchase of a new residence."

Kim  - who stepped out yesterday in this glam outfit - filed for divorce just 72 days after her wedding to Kris back in October 2011, she now hopes their marriage can be ended swiftly so that they can argue about other issues – i.e. money – in court at later date.
