The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday defended the commission’s guidelines for the registration of new political parties, and stated that the procedure is first come first serve.

The chief press secretary to the INEC chairman, My Kayode Idowu, has earlier told a newsmen that the African Peoples Congress (APC), has approached the electoral body for registration as a political party last week.
