Nine Dead In Niger Delta Boat Accident

Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) today said 9 bodies were recovered from a capsized boat some 40 nautical miles from the coast of Calabar in Cross River State.

Two survivors were taken to the hospital from rescue operations mounted by NEMA. The agency stated that it could not confirm the origin of the boat but thought it was coming from the Congo.
