Is APC winning? 60 Reps set to dump PDP for APC

Over 60 members of the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are set to defect to the yetto- be registered All Progressives Congress, APC, before the end of the year.

A member of the PDP from a North Central state and a close ally of Speaker Aminu Waziri Tambuwal told our correspondent that “many of the members in PDP do not see a bright future in the party”.

The ranking lawmaker, who is running for governor of his state, also said that Tambuwal might run for Presidency on the APC platform.

He said: “The Speaker, with his position on issues now, cannot run on the platform of PDP. That should be obvious by now, but he will definitely step out for the Presidency in 2015. What many of you were speculating, is now taking form.

“The attitude of the PDP leadership and the overbearing posture of state governors would certainly have members swing to the opposition, before the end of the year.”
