Buhari seeks China’s support on Mambilla power project

…Signs $340.74m ICT loan deal

ABUJA—PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to Chinese government to facilitate the speedy completion of  Mambilla power  project in Taraba State.

Buhari made the appeal, yesterday, in Beijing, China, while signing the bilateral agreement between himself and President Xi Jinping on the sideline of the 74th Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, FOCAC, in Beijing.

Speaking during the ceremony, the President commended the Chinese government for its support for the development of infrastructure in the country, adding that with the reviewed bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and China, majority of citizens from both countries stood to benefit in terms of  improvement­  in their living conditions.
