DG Appointments: FG appoints Mba, Ciroma, as DG NBC, MD NIWA, 6 others

THE Federal Government has appointed Mr. Emeka Nkem Mba as Director-General of Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) alongside other seven Directors-General of Federal parastatals.

This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Abuja.

The appointments approved by President Goodluck Jonathan also indicated that Hajiya Inna Maryamm Ciroma, has been appointed as the Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).

Other appointments include, Professor Eli Jidere, as the Director-General Energy Commission of Nigeria; Mrs. Sally Mbanefo as Executive Director National Tourism Development Corporation.

President Jonathan has also approved the appointments of Mr. Bature Masadi as Director-General of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency; Mrs. Dukpe C. Atoki as Director –General of Consumer Protection Council and Mr. Danjuma Dabo as Managing Director, Nigerian Film Corporation.

The SGF in the statement directed all the appointees to resume duties immediately.
