Topic: Gunmen invade Buhari’s hometown, bomb two police stations, bank  (Read 2056 times)

Suspected gunmen had on Thursday launched several coordinated bomb attacks on Daura municipal area of Katsina State, the country home of former Head of State, Gen. Mohamed Buhari.

Two police stations, a branch of First Bank in the town and Daura Central Prison were among the places bombed.

Information gathered was that the blast started late Thursday evening.


 
Although casualty level could not be ascertained by the time of filing this report, it was learnt that the mayhem sent people helter skelter, while trying to escape.

The attack came only 48 hours after President Goodluck Jonathan had declared state of emergency in three northern states, to include, Borno, Yobe and Adamawa.
