15 Year Old Arrested for the Deaths Of His Brothers Ages 4 and 10

An older brother was arrested Thursday in the deaths of two Utah boys found by their mother when she returned home, police said.

Authorities said they were questioning the 15-year-old boy earlier Thursday in the deaths of his 4-year-old and 10-year-old brothers. Their bodies were found Wednesday night at their home in West Point, about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City.

Sgt. Susan Poulsen said the boys died from traumatic injuries.

Police said the boys had been left with their older brother while their mother took her other children to a dance recital. When she returned home, she found the 4-year-old boy dead. The 10-year-old’s body was found by police officers who responded to the home

This tragic story highlights the need for parents to be diligent and stop leaving small children in the care of older siblings.
