Fire burns oil mill factory in Edo

A mysterious fire has gutted an oil mill located at Sapele Road in Ikpoba Okha local government area of Edo State.

The fire was said to have started at night and burnt almost the entire building.

Owner of the oil mill, Stella Idemudia, said her oil mill was set ablaze by unknown persons.

She said she left the mill at about 6pm the previous day and was called at night it was on fire.
Stella noted that there were fresh oil kernels inside the oil mill, saying it was difficult for fresh oil kernel to get burnt.

She said she was confused as to the extent of the damage caused by the fire.

According to her:”I closed around 6pm. This morning I came to see everything has been burnt.
“There were fresh palm kernel inside the mill and it is difficult for fire to burn fresh kernel.”
