Three men steal van containing 12 corpses,sentenced to 4 years

Three men have been sentenced to up to four years in jail after stealing a van containing 12 dead bodies.

 
The trio – who are aged between 25 and 27 – took the vehicle from a car park outside Berlin, Germany, without realising it contained the 12 corpses, so their punishment, which also includes a fine of €4,000 each, only fits the crime of car theft, Der Spiegel reports.

It was reportedly not clear from the outside that the Mercedes Sprinter van contained dead bodies.
