Father Kills Son Over Alleged Witchcraft

A 45 year old step father alleged to have been frustrated by alleged witch craft activities of his step son at the weekend, allegedly stabbed him to death, after a minor disagreement.

The incident which took place at Illah, Oshimili North Local Government area of Delta State, has created palpable tension among the family members of the deceased, especially his mother, the wife of the suspect.

ASP Lucky Uyabeme, police spokes man in the state, confirmed that the suspect identified as Onyeka, alias Ikuku (other names withheld) is presently cooling off at the police cell, disclosing that he married the victim’s mother after she had him for another man, adding that for some years now, the victim has been living with them with allegation of witch craft activities

This, ASP Uyabeme explained, created bad blood in the family, especially with the suspect continued hatred for the step son until the fateful day when the victim and the step father were locked in a heated disagreement, leading to the suspect to reach out for his knife and stability him in the stomach.

it was gathered that the victim had allegedly challenged the step father with all manners of insults; a process he ordered him out of his house but he insisted that he was not going to live without his mother.
