Woman Caught With $140,000 Worth Of Cocaine Wedged Inside Her 3 Pairs Of shoes

Customs officials say a woman was caught with 4 lbs and 7 ounces of cocaine stuffed into three pairs of her high heeled shoes (see picture above) after she arrived in Philadelphia from Jamaica on Wednesday.

Officials noticed the cork wedge sandals belonging to Iveliza Tuhanna Perez, 25, seemed unusually heavy.

Perez, who is from Camden, New Jersey, was found to be in possession of $140,000 worth of the illegal substance.

Customs officials told the Philadelphia Inquirer that they stopped the passenger at the Philadelphia International Airport as part of their routine monitoring.

When her sandals seemed unusual, they x-rayed the shoes and discovered the drug.

The drug was stuffed into the heels of three of her shoes but some of her other shoes tested positive for the white powdery substance.

'Officer are trained to detect . . . nonverbal communication,' Customs spokesman Stephen Sapp told the paper.
