Chelsea buys Andre Schurrle on a 5 year Deal ...Let the buying&Selling Begin

Andre Schurrle completed his move from Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea on Tuesday - and he has set his sights on helping the Blues repeat our Champions League success of 2012.

The German international became our first summer signing when he put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal, telling Chelseafc.com of his delight at finally becoming a Blue.

"I hope the Chelsea fans are really happy I am here, because that is how I feel," said Schurrle. "It's a great honour for me to play here - for this club and these supporters. I can't wait to start training with the team and to play some matches for Chelsea."

But the forward, who has scored seven times for his country, is not content with just moving to the Premier League - he wants to bring the biggest trophies to Stamford Bridge.

"The Champions League is the greatest competition in elite football so I'm really looking forward to playing in it again," he said. "I'm hoping we can emulate the Chelsea side from two seasons ago, but we'll see. I definitely think the English teams have the quality and the players to be a serious threat in the Champions League."

Former Chelsea captain, and our all-time leading appearance maker, Ron Harris believes the signing of Schurrle is a positive addition to the Blues squad ahead of the 2013/14 season.
