United States president, Barack Obama, on Sunday, pledged the sum of $7billion naira to help combat frequent power blackout in sub-Saharan Africa. The big announcement was made during his trip to South Africa.

"Access to electricity is fundamental to opportunity in this age. it is the light that the children study by, the energy that allows an idea to be transformed into a real business. It is the lifeline for family to meet their most basic needs, and it's the connection that needs to plug Africa into the grid of global economy." he said

The countries wey go first benefit from the project nah Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Tanzania, Uganda and Mozambique.
Obama still talk say as the money enter, make African government use the project create job for their people.
