Two policemen dismissed for gun running

Two policemen have been arrested in Jos for selling arms and ammunition to criminals. They have also been tried and dismissed from the force.
The dismissed policemen were identified as Constable Emmanuel Dakol and Cpl Joseph Dakup. They were arrested for aiding and abetting criminals by supplying them arms and ammunitions.

Dakol, with service number 451757 has served in the police for six years, while Dakup with service number 241908 has served in the police for 11 years.
Plateau Police Commissioner for Police, Mr. Chris Olakpe, addressing newsmen in Jos on Thursday, said that the police have also recovered the body of the divisional crime officer in Langtang South, Deputy Superintendent of Police Talfa Wuyep.
