Chelsea FC unveils the new third kit to be worn by the team in the 2013/14

Chelsea and official kit supplier and sponsor adidas have today unveiled the new third kit to be worn by the team in the 2013/14 season.

This year has seen the eye-catching "it's blue, what else matters?" campaign preceding the kits' arrival, with both the home and away kits already proving popular with supporters after drawing from the club's heritage.

But while those shirts took their inspiration from the past, the third kit is designed to firmly represent the future of football, with sleek matte black-on-black prints lining a mesh panel, which allows for optimal ventilation.

The futuristic feel to the shirts is continued by the metallic silver used for the iconic adidas three stripes on the sleeve, as well as the black and silver finish to the club badge.
