Dream-like states: Ming Smith’s black and white photos – in pictures

Ming Smith: Evidence will be the inaugural exhibit at the Nicola Vassell Gallery, and will include some of her most recognizable images – and others that have never been seen before. Smith was one of the few women in Kamoinge, a collective of Black photographers established in New York in 1963
