16 feared killed as gunmen raid Nasarawa community

No fewer than 16 persons were feared killed in Kuduku community, Keana local. Some government area of Nasarawa State by unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to report, the heavily armed gunmen, who were said to have invaded the community at about 11am, shot at everybody on sight.

DailyPost learnt that several houses including other valuable materials worth millions of naira, belonging to members of the local communities of Kuduku, Obasidoma and environs were destroyed in the attack.

All efforts by security agents and the paramount ruler of Keana chiefdom, HRH, Sen. Emmanuel Elayo to bring the situation under control became futile.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) ASP Cornelius Ocholi said he was not aware of the incident, but promised to inquire from the Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of Keana before making any statement.
