The Ijaw ethnic nationality has decried what it described as the continuous neglect and marginalisation of its people in Edo State. The group also insisted that the Ijaw-speaking people, who are aboriginal to the state, deserve positions of at least a commissioner in the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led State Executive Council.
