Chelsea’s summer transfer plans could be in jeopardy due to ex-manager Thomas Tuchel.

The former Champions League-winning Blues boss is back in management, and reportedly has eyes on his old club’s top summer target.

As revealed by talkSPORT in February, Chelsea have identified Napoli’s Victor Osimhen as the man to fill their long-troubled centre forward berth.

With 25 goals in 29 games, the Nigerian is spearheading Napoli’s likely first Serie A win in 33 years, and unsurprisingly attracting interest from all over Europe.

Manchester United are understood to be keen on the £150million-rated talent, but now Bayern Munich and Tuchel may have complicated matters.

Unimpressed by his team’s blunt display in a 3-0 Champions League quarter-final defeat to Manchester City, Tuchel reportedly quickly realised his next job is to replace Robert Lewandowski in Bayern’s attack.

The Bundesliga’s second top scorer of all-time left for Barcelona last summer, and Bayern have instead had to rely on Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane has long been linked with the Bavarian giants, but now Osimhen’s name has emerged, and Tuchel has done little to distance himself from the 24-year-old.

When asked about a potential signing in his press conference, Tuchel replied: “I have an opinion on the player, but I also know the mechanics.

“If this is brought back to Italy, it is perceived differently. And my colleague, in this case [Napoli manager Luciano] Spalletti, says I have to keep my mouth shut.

“That’s why I’m not talking about other people’s players.”
