Cristiano Ronaldo has shown he’s got more in his locker than just being a football star during a recent trip to Singapore.
The Al Nassr striker is on his summer holidays following the conclusion of the Saudi Pro League season which saw him net 14 goals 19 appearances since he joined the club in January.
But it turns out the former Manchester United star isn’t staying away from sport on his break, giving another game a go whilst on his travels.
The 38-year-old was recently spotted having a go at padel, a game admired by talkSPORT’s very own Simon Jordan.
The Real Madrid legend was surrounded by a group of youngsters watching from outside the court as he gave the game a go.
And despite recently missing out on the title with Al Nassr, Ronaldo was smiling away as he enjoyed the game, with clips of him doing the rounds online.
He later posted a snap of him in action on his own Instagram story, writing: “Coming soon to Asia @primepadelsport – thanks for the rally!”
Already regularly hailed as the greatest of all time by football supporters, fans have now taken to social media to hail him as the GOAT in padel too.
“This is why Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest padel tennis player of all time,” one fan wrote.
Meanwhile another said: “My goat, even the best at tennis.”
Ronaldo is currently in Singapore as part of a tour around Asia to promote a number of charity initiatives headed up by friend Peter Lim, the owner of Valencia.
Before playing padel, he had also given a talk to the children seen watching him in the clips and photos.
There had been plenty of speculation over Ronaldo’s future beyond his trip to Asia and this summer.
But Ronaldo recently dispelled the rumours, telling the Saudi Pro League’s YouTube channel: “I’m happy [in Saudi Arabia].
“I want to continue here, I will continue here and in my opinion, if they continue to do the work they want to do, in my opinion in the next five years the Saudi league can be the fifth [best] in the world.”
Although he wracked up some impressive goal stats, Ronaldo’s first season in Saudi ended in disappointment as Al Nassr were pipped to the league title by Al Ittihad.
