Dele Alli has sent a message to Jose Mourinho to give him more game time, as he liked a talkSPORT tweet urging the Tottenham boss to return him to the team.

The midifielder was denied a deadline day move to Paris Saint-Germain by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Mourinho was even willing to let him go, having pushed the midfielder out into the cold this season.

But Levy blocked the deal on deadline day by rejecting THREE loan offers from the French champions.

With Alli stuck at Spurs, former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp joined talkSPORT on Monday to call for Mourinho to restore the 24-year-old to his side.

Alli has played just 74 minutes of Premier League football this season, totalling only four appearances.

With Spurs struggling right now, having won just two of their last nine games, Redknapp told the talkSPORT Breakfast playing Alli would be a big boost for the team, insisting, ‘the kid was one of the best players in the country two years ago’.

And Redknapp’s message to Mourinho got the thumbs up from Alli himself, after the midfielder liked a talkSPORT tweet that featured a video of the ex-Spurs’ coach verdict.

He asked: “With Dele Alli, why not get him back on board?

“Sort him out, that’s your job. Get him playing again. What’s his problem?

“The kid was one of the best players in the country two years ago. You’ve got to find a way. He’s still only a young boy. Get him playing again.

“Don’t just discard people, get them playing. That’s your job.

“Make them feel important, make them feel like they’ve got something to offer, get them back to where they were.”

Redknapp’s view got the thumbs up from Alli on Twitter

Alli also liked a tweet which contained a video of Paul Merson, the former Arsenal and England midfielder, saying Tottenham are missing out by not playing him.

Spurs were woeful as they lost 1-0 at Brighton on Sunday, and Merson declared. “For me, I watched Tottenham last night and how he doesn’t get into that team is beyond me, at the moment.

“I don’t know what goes on in the training ground. But if everything is alright in the training ground and Dele Alli is working hard then he has to play in that team, especially with Harry Kane’s injury now. No-one runs off the ball.

“If he plays against Chelsea (on Thursday) then you hold your hands up and say ‘that’s why you don’t go PSG’. If he doesn’t then I feel for the lad. I really do. This lad has a chance now to go to a massive football club in PSG, and Tottenham are a massive football club I am not saying that, but he wants to play.

“When I hear the reporter then go ‘Tottenham say they need to replace him’. Then they might as well take me. If you are just going to sit on the bench for the next three or six months.

“He’s put his head down. He has got on with his job. I haven’t seen anything in the papers or anything about him moaning. If he starts playing then obviously you don’t go PSG, but if he doesn’t start playing and he’s not allowed to go PSG then I personally think it’s wrong.”
