Emile Smith Rowe has been the ‘revelation of the season’ with his stunning performances for Arsenal.
This is according to former Chelsea forward Tony Cascarino, who told talkSPORT the 20-year-old Smith Rowe is a ‘very rare talent’.
Cascarino was speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace – which is LIVE on talkSPORT – with Smith Rowe selected in the starting line-up to make his 21st professional appearance for the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta has placed his faith in the youngster recently and been rewarded, with Smith Rowe scoring two goals and creating a further four this season.
He opened the scoring last time out as Arsenal booked their place in the FA Cup fourth-round with a defeat of Newcastle, and Arteta will hope he has a similar impact against the Eagles.
And Cascarino is sure Smith Rowe will influence most games he plays, as the ex-Ireland international lauded the young midfielder live on talkSPORT.

“He is absolutely outstanding,” began Casc. “You’ve seen a young player given an opportunity, come in and just change everything about the game.
“I think he has been the revelation of the season so far. From nowhere, he has just come in.”
“One of the things he hasn’t done since he’s come in is have that performance where you go, ‘well, he’s had the high, now he’s going to have the low as a young player’.
“He hasn’t done that yet.
“I am really looking forward [to seeing more of him], because he is a very, very rare talent.
“I haven’t seen a player make an introduction like him for a long time.”
