Declan Rice is definitely no slouch as he showed in West Ham’s Europa League win against Dinamo Zagreb.

In fact, Jack Grealish thinks the makers of FIFA 22 have got his rating all wrong when it comes to pace.

Rice showed brilliant athleticism and composure in the Hammers’ win at on Thursday night, intercepting the ball in his own half before running down the left channel and slotting home with his left peg.

The 2-0 victory has earned West Ham huge praise across the continent, talkSPORT’s Matt Holland labelling it the ‘perfect performance’.

But Grealish’s praise was specially reserved for Rice, insisting his England teammate deserves a higher pace rating than 66.

“I told you Declan Rice – you should be higher than 66 pace on FIFA,” he wrote on Twitter, including EA Sports’ handle in the tweet.

Rice had previously complained about his speed rating while on international duty with Grealish earlier this month.

“Try and catch me, slow coach!”

After seeing his FIFA 22 card for the video game, Grealish told Rice on the official England media channel: “You know what’s just mad though – your pace, man.”

Rice replied: “I’m not slow, that is the thing. Mate, I’m just convinced that [the game creators] just sit at their computer and they’re just bored, writing a thousand players down. He’s just 60-something, he’s 70-something. Done.”

Grealish’s speed rating is 80, the Man City man has an overral rating of 84. Rice’s overral rating is 82.

Like Rice, Grealish also scored in European action this week, netting in City’s 6-3 win over RB Leipzig on Wednesday night in the Champions League.
